Absolutely with you on those picks. Don't know too much about EU/Jpn guilds unforunately.

Most of the guilds don't play anymore, and if they did they most likely wouldn't be recruiting. And if they were recruiting, they'd want very good, experienced players.
Anyways, I'd say WM, EviL, and Te. Although I do <3 iQ too.

EviL/WM were the pinnacle imo. Te and iQ were the ones I knew of though back then. Gotta give an honorable to mention to EP though. Own and Custodian introduced me to pvp back in '05 when I was a pvp newb. They put up with a lot to teach me how to play....like casting Orders with Scourge Sacrifice on because I hadn't moved my effects to the bottom middle of my screen so I could pay better attention to the hexes etc on me.
Loved watching EviL though. They had such great tactics that even when it seemed like they were losing they won.....simply amazing.

Well the best european guild was probably Peace And Harmony [PnH]. They beat Last Pride afair (or was it iB... dunno exactly anymore)

I've always been a Racthoh fanboy, so I guess my PvE vote goes for [SMS].
The DVDF support is pretty touching, you can't move in our PvE Events forum for Yellow-way threads

Well I don't understand why Irresistible blokes was not mentioned, until now in the thread.
For one season they dominated and I remember on the last day they had three error 7s against capita cerberi which cost them the number 1 spot - if they hadnt taken that tank in rating a loss against Evil later that day would still have left them number 1.
I think LUM owns because of running a bonder against WM four warriors. How did they lose that game lol. Valandor was also pretty cool.
I also think that everfrost deserves to be considered a top guild of all time because all of the players in the guild were ex IB LUM VAL mostly.
EW is the only other guild worth considering a great guild from europe.
America had quite a few very very strong guilds in MH/TE/IQ/CHAR and later on QQ. Even tho I have to say that IQ were the greatest of them all due to achieving the most sometimes I think that TE deserved more.
Evil and WM will always be top names and Reno only deserve a side mention IMO becase I dont think they were as good as any of the aforementioned guilds - number three korean but I think they were just very good at ladder farming.

Note: the opinions below are those I remember, the fact I missed things mean I don't remember them, not that they are not worth a mention..
For PvP I think I would have to say WM and EVIL, just simply because they demonstrated and pioneered much of the staple tactics people use today. They were also the best guilds when GW PvP was at it's height and I think would still show many top guilds how it's done today.
PvE guilds is hard to say as I guess there is no direct measure. Some guilds specialise in Faction farming, so alliances such as Sins come to mind, others are more 'party' guilds, so the now deceased Boat is worth a mention. Others like to focus on pure size so Lazy,ULGG etc come into things. Other guilds have pioneered a few builds in higher end areas, RFE was the first I remember doing so. Other guilds have gained noterity by being just rude and attention seeking(and no I wont mention names) for those .
Yellow-way is just silly fun, I've never played it but people seem to enjoy it. Sometimes people take GW too seriously and it's nice to have a team build just to go mad with.
It's really great to see DVDF mentioned, and yes we've done a bit of most stuff and been the first in a few bits. So thanks for the mention.
For me, the main point is Guilds are for people with different tastes or wants and the best Guild is the one that meets your needs and has in it people you love being with regardless of the Tag
Edit. Just been informed that Boat are'nt gone. Just quiet. Sorry for any misleading info.

Wow seems really nice that a lot of people think DVDF is a candidate for Best Guild in History of Guild Wars .
I feel proud that I'm a member.

iQ, QQ, EviL, WM, were all very good, the koreans would have to adapt in todays meta that doesn't favour splits and I would lose all respect for them if they ran sinsplit....

Just remembered another catogory. Odd Guilds. One that springs to mind was VAMP, lead by Drucilla they would role play being vampires. Their claim to fame was to run around in LA, run up to an AFK person and say in all chat 'Biting your neck ',..,' before running off to the shadows.
re: Iq, etc i'm assuming they would have kept up with the current meta. Maybe we'll find out in GW2.

A good half of iQ is playing casually in USSR right now. If they played the monthly, getting silver isn't out of the question, despite being fairly rusty and not too practiced in the current meta.
